Hi, I’m Diane (Ziyi) Jian
I’m a UX & Visual Designer with roots in graphic arts and spatial design.
Currently pursuing my Master of Design at Monash University, I focus on shaping systems that feel both intentional and intuitive — where form follows flow, and function meets feeling.

Design reveals structure, like water finding its shape.
I see design as something that emerges, not something imposed. Like water finding its course, or the branching of a leaf, good design follows what’s already present — adapting, repeating, refining. I aim to build systems that grow from inner logic, intuitive to use and quiet in tone, shaped by patterns as natural as breath or shadow.
My past roles include interior design for the University of Nottingham Library and CG art assistance at Shenzhen Crystal Digital, where I developed a blend of hand-drawing, motion, and storytelling skills.
More recently, I’ve worked on responsive interfaces, branding assets, and visual content across sectors such as home services and education. These experiences have gradually deepened my understanding of how different industries think, what clients prioritize, and how design tone can shift to support those needs.
Each project has brought its own rhythm. Some required clarity and focus; others leaned into trust, playfulness, or a sense of calm. Over time, I’ve come to see design as a process of listening — not only to users, but also to the environment and voice of each brand.
